How it Works

First, your recyclable material starts at the processing site

The material is reduced by our Doppstadt grinder, a world-class processor made by an outstanding German manufacturer

– We transport the ground material to our compost site for further processing

– After the initial breakdown, GWI organizes the material into piles according to the stage of production

The piles are monitored by periodically adding moisture and turning the material over to create a greater surface area for microbes

Microbes eat away at the green waste, breaking it down into smaller and smaller fragments

We also keep watch over the temperature of the piles, as heat is a byproduct of microbial processes

After approximately two to three months, the new compost is ready for its final grinding

We sell the rich, nutrient-dense compost for a variety of purposes – retail potting soil, commercial soil addition and more
